Anyone who has attended my training knows I regularly use the Swiss Army knife as an analogy for bad Value Propositions.
Undefined target, no single minded insight or benefit, ludicrously over featured and ends up doing everything badly.
So that brings me to SIB (an acronym for System Integrated Block)
Stay awake please! I think it’s actually very cool.
This tiny little glowing block only costs $5 but seems to have an endless series of possibilities.
The only problem is that there are so many possibilities that it becomes overwhelming.
Check out the video to see what I mean. A technology that can check the temperature of your ice box & pool, call for help when a relative becomes sick then order more whisky.
Beneath the complexity is a really solid idea that needs to be broken down into a series of clear targeted value propositions.
Currently positioning themselves as the Swiss Army Knife of IOT is admission in my eyes that whilst they have a strong R&D resource, their marketing has a way to go yet.
Let me know what you think and what Value Propositions you could see for your markets?
